Everyone should have a best friend! If you don't, I highly recommend looking into getting one!! :) I got my best friend at the end of 5th grade going into 6th around the age of 10. I don't think Andrea ever expected us to be best friends because my way of showing friendship at that time was to sock her on the arm, not once throughout the day but more like 6 to 10 times! I knew this probably wasn't the right way to endear yourself to someone, but growing up with boy cousins down the street and a lot of other boys in the neighborhood you'd show your toughness and friendship by socking the kid next to you in the arm. OK, so after she put her foot down saying I couldn't hang-out with her if I didn't stop hitting I knew I needed to knock if off and I did. 32 years later we are still the best of friends!
This past Saturday Andrea invited my girls and I to come down to her house and go out to lunch as a kind of belated birthday gift. Yes, I turned 42 a week or two ago!! egad I'm getting old. She decided that we should tryout this little restaurant in Laguna Beach called Madison Square & Garden Cafe. WOW, this place was terrific!! The food was wonderful (I had the pear and chicken salad...to die for), she had a great looking chicken sandwich...I think she said it had a rosemary sauce on it and the girls had the best looking and tasting grilled cheese with a ton of fresh fruit. The place made you feel like you were sitting in someones backyard garden, it was so relaxing and so much fun!
Meg being silly while we waited for our lunch.
After lunch we all went for a walk by the ocean
Thank you Andrea for such a nice time and thank you also for being such a good friend!
I have to give a little shout out to Andrea's dog Nina for entertaining the girls while we were at her house...she is one crazy and spoiled (in a good way) little dog! :)
