Weekend Getaway!

On Friday,we decided to play hookie from work and have an extra long weekend. So with the girls and my Dad & Mom we headed up to Solvang and Santa Barbara for a nice weekend...and had a blast!!

On Friday evening we went into Los Olivos and had a nice dinner at the Los Olivos Cafe.

On Saturday we visited the Santa Barbara Mission

It was nice just to getaway and smell the roses!

On Saturday David taught the girls how to cruz on Josh's skateboard...Megan really got into it.

Katelyn was a little unsure about it but loved it when daddy sat on the board with her!

Katelyn then decided that ridding her trike was easier!!

All in all a fun Saturday afternoon in the backyard.

Fun Easter Weekend

On Saturday the girls got to go on a second Easter egg hunt and had a great time!

Between the two of them they collected 122 eggs and won the big prize in their age group

On Sunday after church we had Easter brunch with my family then went to my sister-in-laws house to spend sometime with David's family.

Easter Egg Hunt

Kate brought her ears and attitude and was ready to rock the park in the Moms Club annual Easter party lunch and egg hunt.

Before the Easter egg hunt, the girls had mac n cheese, fruit and of course a cup cake. You always have to make sure your child has just enough of a sugar high before running around collecting eggs with even more candy (a.k.a. sugar) in them!

Viva Las Vegas

David and I had a great time in Vegas this past weekend celebrating our 5 year anniversary. We stayed at The Mirage and had a wonderful room with a not so bad view!

The round dome you see is the botanical garden inside the entrance to the Mirage.

On Friday night we walked across the street to the Venetian and had a fantastic dinner at Bouchon a French restaurant. It was so nice and romantic and took us about 2 1/2 hours.

Saturday we did the touristy thing and walked all up and down the strip, went into a few of the newer casinos like the Wynn and Encore.

Saturday night we saw the Cirque Du Soleil The Beatles: Love. What an awesome show!! We had the best time!!!

We even got a little silly after the show, but then again alcohol helps with that!

Well, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...unless you blog about it! :)

Five Year's!

Tomorrow will be our 5 year anniversary.
